2011 - 2025 6.7L Powerstroke
The 6.7L Powerstroke V8 Turbo Diesel engine in Ford Super Duty trucks offers impressive power and torque, with a high-output variant producing 500 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft of torque. It features a high-pressure common-rail fuel injection system and a variable geometry turbocharger.
Debuting in 2011 in Ford’s Super Duty trucks (F-250 through F-550), the 6.7L Powerstroke engine replaced the problematic 6.4L Powerstroke. It was the first Powerstroke developed and manufactured entirely by Ford.
Over the years, the 6.7L Powerstroke engine has received significant structural enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Upgrades to the cylinder head, engine blocks, bearings, and connecting rods have enabled the engine to handle extra output and greater cylinder pressures. The introduction of new steel pistons has allowed for higher firing pressure and reduced friction.
